LE PALACE

OVERVIEW

LE PALACE

The Palace was, from 1978 to 1983, a fashionable Parisian spot where the relationships between fashion, music, « Parisian chic » and underground culture crystallised. All the “regulars” of the Palace remember it as a legendary place. And there are many former club-goers who knew its heyday from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s: Kenzo, Karl Lagerfeld, Thierry Ardisson, Loulou de la Falaise, Grace Jones, Roland Barthes, Mick Jagger, Andy Warhol, Frédéric Mitterrand, Andrée Putman, Jean-Paul Goude, Yves Saint Laurent, Pierre Bergé, Thierry Le Luron, the artists Pierre et Gilles, and the list goes on. But the Palace, before becoming the benchmark of Parisian nightlife – to the point of rivalling New York’s famous Studio 54! – has a long history.

Trendy Paris of the 70s and 80s still quivers when its name is spoken: the unattainable Palace ! The symbol of a carefree, festive era finally reopened its doors on 20 October 2016, after gigantic works during which every little detail was brought up to date. The Palace boasts a chic, clean design combined with the most modern facilities. Chic Paris is finally reborn! A legend comes back to life.
