Setting up a TV set on a rooftop

In April, Paris TV Center and its team called on us for the broadcast of a very special event. It was for the presidential election that we had the opportunity to unearth the most beautiful rooftops in Paris in order to set up several TV sets on a rooftop. JOUR & NUIT selected the Rooftop Étoile for its location and iconic view. The TV channels Sky News and Al Jazeera were thus able to experience an exceptional shoot facing the capital’s most beautiful monuments. Their mission was to design a studio that would embody Parisian elegance while allowing smooth, dynamic coverage of major events.

The TV set on a rooftop offered their audience a magical panorama and the vision of a one-of-a-kind set: a place that would capture the very essence of the city while remaining functional for their broadcasts. Our team meticulously assembled the set, marrying technological modernity with the refined aesthetics of Paris. Giant ultra-high-definition screens were strategically placed so that journalists could broadcast the latest news and exclusive reports live.

At the same time, the breathtaking view of the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower and the majestic Avenue des Champs-Élysées served as a stunning backdrop for the presenters and special guests who took to the set one after another. Viewers around the world were transported to the heart of Paris, experiencing the news from the cradle of European culture and history. Viewers can expect to witness new captivating collaborations, unforgettable event coverage and revealing reports, as this iconic venue continues to write the history of world television. Paris, city of love, art and culture, has also found its place as the world capital of news thanks to this exceptional television centre.
